How to Care for Your Mat

Marks on this style of mat come with the territory, most will easily wipe off or wear off over time, but overall we hope you will see these as part of the story of your practice and forming the character of your mat.

To avoid the worst of the marks, avoid applying oil or moisturiser of any kind to your skin or hair before practising.

If you wish to remove the marks on your mat, simply wipe gently with soft cloth using water and very diluted cleaning liquid, or vinegar, ensuring your cloth is well wrung out.

Never use cleaning agents with essential oils, alcohol or petroleum-based solvents on your mat

Lay flat to dry.

Do not leave in the sun.

Roll with the pattern facing out when dry. Do not fold your mat.

Yoga Blankets/Throws 

Cashwool: 70% Cashwool, 30% Organic Cotton. Approx 190cm x 135cm, approx 400 gsm. Hand wash in cold water or dry clean. Do not tumble dry. Cool iron is recommended.

Brushed Cotton - Machine wash on a delicate cycle. Dry flat. Iron on low. 100% Brushed Organic Cotton, approx 190cm x 135cm, approx 400 gsm.

Merino Wool - 40% Wool 60% Merino Lambswool. Approx 190cm x 135cm, approx 400 gsm. Gentle, cool hand wash only. Dry flat. Iron on a cool setting.

UK - £4.00 - Free Shipping if the order is over £60.00

USA - $12.50 - Free Shipping if the order is over $190.00

EU - €12.00 - Free Shipping if the order is over €170.00

Rest of World - £12.50 - Free Shipping if the order is over £150.00

We aim to ship orders within 1-2 working days. Orders are not dispatched over the weekend You will receive a tracking number when your order has been dispatched.

Local taxes and duties are not included. Your package will be shipped from the UK, your customs fees will depend on the country of delivery. We have removed UK VAT (tax) for all EU customers. Customers in the US will not be charged customs as long as their order comes to under $800.

We are currently not shipping to Russia. We cannot ship to PO Box addresses

Royal Mail

We reserve the right to change shipping courier at any time and without notice to ensure that delivery of your order goes smoothly and arrives within a reasonable time. Outlying territories are not considered part of a shipping zone.

Please note: We are unable to combine shipping on separate orders, and we are unable to change the delivery address to one in another country once your order has been paid.

Returns

You are welcome to return your mat within 30 days of delivery. Please contact us (info@middle-earth.yoga) in the first instance so we can try to help you make your mat work for you. Return shipping will be at your own cost.

All items must be in re-sellable condition with all packaging intact. Due to the open cell structure of these mats we can only refund items which have not been handled, used or removed from their packaging. There may be a handling fee for returns with damaged packaging. If you return a used item we will unfortunately not be able to accept it and may get in touch to send it back again at your cost.

Please ensure you obtain proof of postage and insurance, the package is your responsibility until it reaches us. 

Returning due to a fault

If your mat has a flaw, we may be able to send you a pre-paid returns label, so please contact us before returning goods if you believe your item to be flawed. If this is the case, please send us photos and a description of the flaws before returning.

Any faulty goods will either be replaced or, if you prefer, you will receive a full refund, as well as a refund on your return postage costs (providing you meet our requirements). 

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have (following the procedure above), and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Only items purchased directly from Middle-earth™ Yoga are covered by this policy, and proof of purchase will be required when processing returns.
